Preliminary autopsy results say 20-day-old Justice Rees, whose tiny body was found Wednesday at a remote slough near Knights Landing, may have drowned or died of hypothermia.
In an interview Thursday, Yolo County Sheriff Ed Prieto said authorities have no evidence the infant was a victim of homicide.

Our society is unconsciously revealing its stake in infanticide, of the already born and near pre-born.

“authorities have no evidence the infant was a victim of homicide”
Uh....a 20 day old baby in a river IS a homicide!
He didn’t get there by accident.

Very strange story there. If the child died as a result of his mother being taken in many states his death would be considered felony murder.

A gal in my hometown managed to hide a pregnancy, and while I suspect her efforts to keep it hidden didn’t do any good for the health of the child, the child was stillborn and she was caught trying to bury the body in the woods. It’s possible there was no “homicide”, per se, in such a case, but certainly from the sounds of this, the only reason there is no evidence of a homicide at this point is that they haven’t looked for it. I would wager that once the autopsy is performed, there will be evidence of homicide.

“Im taking in every unwanted dog”
Don’t jinx yourself with that statement. Every man or woman has their limits. I should know, my rural property is a magnet for lost, abandoned or abused dogs. I have taken in 3 to date, returned 3 to owners, and caught, fed and paid the local Shelter for 5 other dogs in the last 7 years.
After the last dog showed up last year, a full size Great Dane, I told the Dog Gods I’m done. No more. And sadly 2 days ago a stray showed up and it was zero out but I have had enough. Tired of having to pay for my own dogs and their problems and tired of having to pay for other people’s dogs.

Yeesh.
And how does the sheriff explain the sequence of events leading up to the baby being in the water?
Despondent over the president saddling them with debt into perpetuity, they jumped from a stroller on a bridge perhaps?
The Sheriff is an idiot!

Green and her new baby had been living at the Woodland home of her fiancés mother, Patty Rees, along with Frank Rees and four of his children from a previous relationship.Sounds like this infant had very little chance in life even before the drowning.

A 20 day old baby doesn’t go out for a stroll and fall in a ditch and drown all by himself. It’s a murder either at the hands of the mother or someone else.
