I’m not celebrating. Democrats are always up to no good.
And that includes the days when Abraham Lincoln, a Repubican, was President of the United States.
Lincoln stood up against slavery and came out freeing all of America's Negro slaves.
The freed slaves were almost immediately granted the right to vote ... and they voted Republican.
The book "Yearning to breathe Free" is about the Negro slave Robert Smalls, a leader who very much helped Union forces win the Civil War ... and later became a Republican US Congressman.
It's a great read.
