Vice President Joe Biden is canceling a planned trip to Uruguay because of an illness.
The vice president's office says Biden has a bad cold and won't attend incoming President Tabare Vazquez's inauguration on Sunday. Biden had been expected to lead the U.S. delegation.
Instead, Biden will travel directly on Monday to Guatemala, the second and final stop on his Latin America trip. Biden plans to meet with Central American presidents and the head of the Inter-American Development Bank.

LOL, how I don’t even believe Joe is sick. Everything is a lie with these buffoons. Maybe he didn’t want to travel all the way to Uruguay for the inauguration, so now the only “excuse” remaining for him to miss the most important speech in decades is a trip to Guatemala!
But even if he is “sick”, you can bet the house he’ll be out of there before Tuesday morning!
Right, Castro is going to Uruguay and now Biden isn’t.
I’m still confused whether the WH initially wanted a meeting with Biden and Castro, or if Castro just decided to go on his own and the WH had second thoughts!

Interesting. He won’t see Uruguay, which is relatively prosperous and doesn’t have an easy path to send their most uneducated and poor to the USA. BUT he’ll go recruit more democrat voters in Guatamala. He will probably be discussing how to fast track a bullet train from Guatamala to Nogalas courstesy of the US taxpayer. Priorities.
That is a sterling idea, but I wonder if Mitch McConnell would be up for it and incur the wrath of Obama.
I think I already missed this year’s Ash Wednesday. Too bad. I had planned to be one of the few who didn’t forget. Next year, next year. Maybe there is an APP that will remind me of special dates.
