A Missouri judge says the state's membership to a testing company aligned with the national Common Core education standards is illegal and that it shouldn't pay fees to be part of the group.
Kids will fail en masse.
I took a Common Core math test, and would have failed.
I work at a Fortune 500 company doing mostly math all day, and make quite a good living at it.
But Common Core questions are so poorly worded, you have NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE ASKING.
So, you cannot answer.
Wait until we see the results. They should be a devastating indictment ..... of Common Core.
That was a THIRD GRADE test!
The intent is to make public school students feel stupid by means of nebulous questions and convoluted methodology, and encourage them to give up, concluding that only the chosen elites can handle basic arithmetic. Then pump the kids full of phony self esteem where they should be happy barely getting by - or make some feel guilty because of “privilege”.
Love it. I want one.
“So, you cannot answer.”
With CC you can give any number as an answer and it will be “correct.”
give Bruno time to go and discuss the issue with the judge and the judge will see it in a different prospective and reverse his ruling. Count on it.
If you want to take a swipe at Common Core, you simply point out that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for any aspect of intrastate school policy.
There was no mention of what the issue before the court actually was, and there was no link to the ruling.
In these times, it is those few remaining judges with vision and integrity who will be remembered forever.
