I think we should add Bofors 40mm cannons along with 30mm Goal Post units and anti-ship missiles. What we have now can be overwhelmed and exhausted. And they can’t reload. I don’t forsee attacks on our carriers to be a one shot deal.
When WW III starts it will be for real—A cabal of nations vs USA and a few Allies. This time it may go nuclear. No carrier battle group could take a nuke. Iran will be an enemy. Who else The Pakastanis, North Korea, China, Russia, on our side—Israel, England (maybe) and France. Maybe Canada and India. It’s not IF but When.
