PPP's newest national Republican poll finds a clear leader in the race for the first time: Scott Walker is at 25% to 18% for Ben Carson, 17% for Jeb Bush, and 10% for Mike Huckabee. Rounding out the field of contenders are Chris Christie and Ted Cruz at 5%, Rand Paul at 4%, and Rick Perry and Marco Rubio at 3%.

Walker has more than doubled his support since his 11% standing on our January national poll, and Carson has moved up 3 points. Bush, Huckabee, Paul, and Perry have largely stayed in place while Cruz has dropped 4 points and Christie has dropped 2 points.

We all know who Dauphin Bush will target when he amasses his war chest. Cruz in all the polls I have seen both at a early caucus/primary state level or national is a nobody. Why would people support Ben Carson a neophyte over Cruz?

Do you really have to ask?

It seems that the more the MSM tries to entrap him with their ridiculous gotcha questions, the higher he goes in the polls.

The MSM’s assault upon Walker has only made him popular.

I hope they keep it up.

Because it’s 21 months from the election. Who was the Republican front runner in February 2011?

Well I’m glad that’s all over. Walker has been coronated and now we all just need to STFU and go vote for him.

The Ben Carson nonsense astounds me too. It’s the Herman Cain sequel, some cute media antics, a few catch phrases... and in the end it’s just an attention-sucking time waste, benefiting no one but the RINO wing of the Party.

Why would people support Ben Carson a neophyte over Cruz?

The question is, why would an experienced Freeper post, let alone worry about, a worthless useless misleading poll????

**************

Carson might make a good running mate, but we need to know more about where he stands on the issues, especially defense and foreign policy.

Walker: "Want to hear a joke?"
MSM: "Sure."

Walker: "knock knock."
MSM: "Who's there?"
Walker: "Go f** yourself."

LOL

Forgive us Texans for not being overly impressed. Although we do cheer Walker on his strategy to get WI looking more like TX.

Our Gov, one month on the job, is far better qualified to be POTUS.

We ran that play in 2000, scored a touchdown but lost the game.

We called that play again in 2008 but there was a fumble.

Maybe we'll give it a rest for 2016.

Cruz is in good shape. Those Ben Carson and Huck votes should migrate our way as the campaign ramps up.

My modified list of the GOP field since I 1st posted this almost 2 months ago...

* Mike Huckabee: Bill Clinton with a Banjo
* Chris Cristie: Bobby Bacala should not run for POTUS
* Rick Santorum: Would make a great producer for EWTN
* Jeb Bush: OJNTSA ( the guy with his hand on his head photo )
* Ben Carson: The Huckabee of 08' for 2016
* Ted Cruz: Senate Majority Leader, those words are music to my ears.
* Rand Paul: A Deadhead for POTUS?
* Marco Rubio: I could have been a contenda...

As my tagline says:

It's Cruz, Pence, or Walker. Anything else is a Yugo with Racing Stripes....
