I’m in an upstate county, can we be annexed by Texas?

Actually, NYS has two libtard senators now. Splitting NYC off might allow them to be negated by two more conservative senators from upstate.

One great advance would be to split electoral votes a la Maine/Nebraska. A GOP candidate could conceivably focus on upstate and collect 10-12 EVs. Today, Dems take the entire state for granted and the GOP ignores them.

In 2000 GWB came to the Binghamton St. Patrick's day parade. Complete waste of time on his part.

But I thought secession was not permitted, illegal, unconstitutional, etc. Didn’t we fight a war against that? Or is it only OK when the North does it?

You're mixing apples and oranges. "Secession" in the sense you're talking about is one state leaving the US. These folks are talking about moving four counties from New York to Pennsylvania, something the U.S. Constitution specifically authorizes, albeit only with the consent of the New York legislature, the Pennsylvania legislature, and the U.S. Congress. (U.S. Const., Art. IV, sec. 3).

“...New York City and Philadelphia append themselves to New Jersey...”

This is the best solution I have seen yet. It may never happen, but it does solve everything.

But you actually might end up with 2 more conservative senators, since NY sends libs now, if upstate sent conservatives (or really just “more” conservative) it would be a plus for our side.

“...heavily populated Marxist Urban Megalopolis...”

Exactly right analysis. I just read today somewhere that NYC is 40% non English speaking as a first language.

The outlying areas in those states ARE (as you state) far more conservative for the most part, but the university towns and cities (think Ithaca with Cornell, etc.) are making Marxist inroads throughout the outlying areas. The ideology is like a poison spreading, and many of the young people are buying into it.

Broome County includes Binghamton, which has one of the four research universities of the SUNY system, so no way that New York would let it secede.

I recall a story some years ago that Block Island was unhappy with the Rhode Island state government and wanted to secede. Colorado was interested in acquiring it.

Unilateral secession is illegal.
