Jordan furious over Pentagon leak on secret anti-terror training camp
The Washington Times ^ | February 23, 2015 | Maggie Ybarra

The Pentagon let slip that one of its training camps to help fight Islamic State terrorists is in Jordan — information the pro-U.S. kingdom had specifically requested be kept private, and the latest gaffe in a series of sensitive leaks coming out of the Department of Defense. In order to hide its flub, which was first announced to reporters during a briefing last week, the Pentagon has scrubbed its public transcripts of any mention of the training camp. Pentagon officials acknowledged Monday that one of its officers, who was briefing reporters on condition of anonymity last week, likely made the mistake. The Pentagon’s policy is to discuss only the contributions its partner nations are making to its operations against extremists in Iraq and Syria only after those partner nations have publicly spoken about those contributions. In Jordan’s case, that did not happen, a senior Pentagon official said. Security analysts are befuddled by the high-level operational “screw-up.” “Either the official made a mistake or is deliberately leaking information to put the administration’s plans for Syria in a better light in an attempt to defuse criticism that the administration has bungled efforts to aid Syrian rebels,” said James Phillips, a national security analyst at The Heritage Foundation.

It is deliberately being leaked because any plans by any nation to destroy ISIS is a direct threat to Obomination, who I firmly believe IS part of ISIS.

Destroying our former allies at every turn. I am heartbroken for those countries that have always supoorted our efforts......they have a target on their backs because of their support. And I am truly fed up with the controversy surrounding Giuliani........most of our thinking citizens agree with him.

The Pentagon let slip

or someone did it intentionally.

But maybe it's too nuanced for someone like me to understand.

Why do we want to overthrow Syria and why is it our business?

Pray America is waking

And even for us un-nuanced and uninformed folks, sometimes the obvious just comes up and slaps you in the face. Somebody in that Defense Department is helping ISIS and alienating our allies.

Exactly. This wasn’t an accidental leak. Information on allied countries and our activities with them is generally extremely close-hold. The timing and nature of this “gaffe” - no, lets call it what it is: a security violation that should get someone fired, charged, tried, and sent to prison - is very suspicious. More of bammy “fighting” terrorism while not really fighting terrorists but aiding and abetting them.

Sorry Jordan - Obama’s picked ‘THE WINNER’ - and it’s IRAN. You lose Jordan.

The Obama Regime has been methodically placing leftists in positions of influence for over six years. This is obviously not good for our nation or the interests of our nation’s allies.

Deliberate sabotage is happening.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to the baseness that lies deep in the heart of all men.

He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.

A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.

Marcus Tullius Cicero (Roman philosopher, statesman, lawyer, political theorist, and Roman constitutionalist).

Of course they did it intentionally probably right out of Jarrett’s office. Hell they want ISIS to destroy their base. Folks this administration wants to see a caliphate declared on our soil. Hell even their lieutenants know that our administration support them. Why do you think they have no problem with funds, uniforms, weaponry, etc...we keep giving it to them. Hell do we normally abandon our tanks in the field so they can be tsken over by enemy combatants? Do we typically accidentally drop supplies that they can confiscate and yse themselves? C’mon people we’re being snowed.

Lots of us aren’t being snowed but are powerless to stop the destruction. Any ideas? Our Representatives aren’t doing ANYTHING to stop it.

Well-intentioned ping.

BTW, Stars & Stripes Forever, I tried to reply back to you on this post also, and your screenname got a formatting error when I tried to post... it came back and gave me the "can't find" message on "stripes forever".

What I saw looked like a syntactical problem with the ampersand and truncated it, and the "Stars" off and passed only the "Stripes Forever"...

Ping to the help desk too...

Other than have about 10 - 20 million people show up at Congress and start yanking them out of their chairs? Other than millions of people refusing to pay their taxes and letting the government run out of funds? Well we’ve tried nice and orderly and we’ve seen what that’s gotten us so far. Its definitely going to require doing something entirely different that what we’re doing now. If we fail to plan, we plan to fail...

Yes, none of us troglodytes understand ‘nuance’. I suspect it’s because it’s probably a French word and we are really too stoopid to understand foreign words.
