An antique gun won’t have a serial number. Parts might not be 100% interchangeable either.

It helps. Any paperwork or documented ‘history’ on the piece? Also, some of the parts from one to another unit might not fit, since those units were pretty much hand fitted. Hard to say without taking them apart and trying it.
