Obama Pushes For GOP Capitulation In DHS Dispute

President Barack Obama’s spokesman is rejecting any compromise over the 2015 budget for the Department of Homeland Security, which is now being filibustered by pro-amnesty Democrat senators, even though a new poll shows that 60 percent of Americans want the amnesty and budget problems separated.

“The President believes that the Congress, particularly Republicans in Congress who now have the majority in both the House and the Senate, should fulfill their responsibility to ensure that the Department of Homeland Security doesn’t shut down at the end of this month,” spokesman Josh Earnest said Feb. 20.

Senate Democrats are filibustering the House’s DHS 2015 budget until the Senate GOP majority removes House-drafted language that bars Obama from spending money to implement his Nov. 20 Oval Office amnesty.

The amnesty would grant four million work-permits to illegals, despite Americans’ high unemployment rate. The agency’s budget runs out Feb. 27.

The Democrats’ continued filibuster reflects Obama’s intense determination to increase immigration.

Well of course the caliphate wants the GOP to capitulate. Defending America against open borders is SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE.

McConnell, Grahamnesty, McCain, Rubio, Hatch, etc, etc, will be only too willing to capitulate.

The Cheap Labor Express owns most of the GOP Senators.

The House MUST stand strong and not fold.

How can they fund an illegal program for illegal aliens that has already been found to be illegal?

“How can they fund an illegal program for illegal aliens that has already been found to be illegal?”

“How” is easy he can just do it. The real question is who
is going to stop him. Congress? They are in on it. They
want amnesty just as bad as the Obama. This whole thing
is just a front.

A major cost reduction would result but the actual “un-employment” figures would go up by a whole bunch.

Just now beginning? I’m for years convinced of that, what I’m
beginning to wonder is if some of our elected republicans
love their country.

I should think that the recent Federal court ruling would be more than enough to justify congress defunding the portion of DHS that funds Obama's unconstitutional Amnesty scheme.....a scheme that Obama didn't even write an Executive Order to implement. Having studied Judge Hanen's ruling carefully, it sounds to me like Obama attempted to delegate his dirty work to his flunky Jeh Johnson who failed to "go public" with a "memorandum" which Judge Hanen declared to be unconstitutional in the first place.

Hanen’s opinion opens with: “This is a case in which twenty-six states or their representatives are seeking injunctive relief against the United States and several officials of the Department of Homeland Security to prevent them from implementing a program entitled ‘Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents.”

Noting that the case does not pertain either to a law passed by Congress or to an executive order signed by Obama, Hanen noted the White House promoted the idea that the president had signed an executive order in Las Vegas Nov. 21, 2014, the day after his address to the nation on immigration.

The president was seen signing two presidential executive orders, but they were not related to deferring prosecution of illegal aliens.

Hanen wrote that “both sides agree that the president in his official capacity has not directly instituted any program at issue in this case.”

“Regardless of the fact that the Executive Branch has made public statements to the contrary, there are no executive orders or other presidential proclamations or communiqué that exist regarding DAPA [Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents],” he said.

“The DAPA memorandum issued by Secretary Johnson is the focus in this suit,” the judge stated. In granting the injunction to the 26 states that brought the lawsuit, led by Texas, Hanen made clear that the DHS memorandum signed by Johnson was unconstitutional.

DHS does not have the authority to defer the deportation of more than 4 million foreigners who entered the U.S. illegally or overstayed their visas, the judge said.

“The DHS was not given any ‘discretion by law’ to give 4.3 million removable aliens what the DHS itself labels as ‘legal presence,’” Hanen concluded.

“In fact, the law mandates that these illegally present individuals be removed. The DHS has adopted a new rule that substantially changes both the status and employability of millions. These changes go beyond mere enforcement or even non-enforcement of this nation’s immigration scheme.”....read more....

________________________________

So that, my friends, is "the rest of the story." One more instance of being lied to by the White House who let the people of this country think an Executive Order had been issued when none had, in fact, been issued!!!

Apparently, the hope was that the judge would waste his time spinning his wheels over the issue of the limits of Obama's constitutional authority to issue such an Executive Order while amnesty would have become a "fait accompli" vis a vis a bogus DHS memorandum and, as the representative of the 26 states who are suing the government put it, once the amnesty became a fait accompli, it would be hard to put the genie back into the bottle.

Fortunately, however, Judge Hanen was shrewd to realize what was going on as soon as he learned about the memorandum which had never been made public as required by law and issued an emergency ruling instead of waiting until the Supreme Court Ruling in June at which time amnesty, for all intents and purposes, would still have become a "fait accompli."

I think it is important for people to understand what really happened here.....and how the people of the United States have once again been LIED TO.

Apart from the purse strings congress has no power anymore. If the people want congress to do budgeting separate from policy then only Obama will make policy, and the tax payers will get stuck with the result(being replaced) and the bill.

The House passed a bill that would keep the Homeland Security Department running, but defunds President Obama’s executive order last year many Republicans said was an unconstitutional executive overreach, The Washington Post reported.

Pass this through reconciliation as a budget matter and get on with it. No excuse for waiting. None.

It’s been apparent since the 2006 amnesty attempt that there are a number of GOP Senators who don’t. (look at what the same ones said about Rudy’s comments)
Amnesty will be the death of the Republic.
They voted for it anyway.
Then and again last year.

Well, Rubio didn’t vote for the earlier attempts, just last years.....

There are only a few on the side of the citizens, Cruz, Sessions, Lee, Vitter, maybe a couple others.

The rest have all sold their souls to The Cheap Labor Express.
We can’t lose on amnesty or we lose our country.
