They had a narrative earlier on, their cradle to grave story of ‘The Life of Julia’ where the government made every stage of her life possible.

The Life of Julia simply didn’t sell in the south. It was an urban gimmick at best. It surprises me that the whole party thrill is worked up to be something that forty-percent of Democrats won’t buy into. Look around at governor positions now lost....state house seats....county commission seats....etc.

The 2020 census is not that far away and promises to take all this to a different level and damage is something that would take two decades to fix.
