You may like technology (who doesn't these days) or the energy sector (where would we be without it) -- but if you're making a long-term bet as an investor, there's a lot going for Big Tobacco. It's not just that tobacco boasts the best historical performance of all U.S. industries. The industry's future seems especially bright. As marijuana gradually becomes a legal drug, Big Tobacco is poised to dominate the market.

It’s been the plan of the drug cartels to seize that market, partly by attacking the tobacco industry first, then investing in BigPharma to lead in both industries. The Democrats have aided and abetted the schemes to enter and control those markets by younger middle aged socialists.

I remember reading that back in the early 1970s many terms for marajuana were trademarked for future marketing.

Tommy Chong (Man) and Cheech Marin (Pedro de Pacas) will be the new Marlboro men.

Big Tobacco is poised to dominate the market.

Never understood why these two plants draw such different reactions.

I don’t understand how tobacco is so bad for your health, and smoking (unfiltered) MJ isn’t.

Of course, with the choom gang now running the show, I do know the “why”.

Not defending either weed, but my understanding is that the chemical additives in cigarettes are a large source of the diseases they cause. I have heard this, only, can’t cite particular references.

Thank you.

“I don’t understand how tobacco is so bad for your health, and smoking (unfiltered) MJ isn’t.”

That...is...The...Big...Question!!! Smoke in the lungs is smoke in the lungs, and who takes a drag on a (tobacco) cigarette & then holds it?

How ‘bout it, all you FReeper libertarians?

“I remember reading that back in the early 1970s many terms for marajuana were trademarked for future marketing.”

Brings to mind a “counter-culture” book of that time “A Childs Garden of Grass”. Basic theme was commercialization of weed.

For all you non smokers out there who have never been addicted to cigarettes let me assure you they are as addictive as Heroin, Crack or Oxycontin. Maybe more.

I thought I would never throw it off. When you find yourself going through the trashcan looking for a 2 inch Cigarette butt to light up just to get a few drags off of it you know you are in big trouble.

They are going to have to do something about the smell, modern pot smells like a dead skunk that has been in the sun for 10 days.

Anybody been watching “Justified”?

Bad guys are in Harlan, KY, buying up homes in order to eventually create huge marijuana farms...after marijuana is legalized in the state. Unfortunately, some of the sellers don’t want to sell, so the bad guys are making offers “that can’t be refused”. Marshall Raylan Givens is on their trail...

“cigarettes let me assure you they are as addictive as Heroin, Crack or Oxycontin”

Yes and no.

The addiction is not as strong and the drug does not alter the mind and affect the person as much as heroin, crack or oxyxontin. Or marijuana for that matter, which is addicting as well.

A cigarette addict withdrawing cold turkey can be irritable.

Withdrawing from opiates or stimulants can cause death.

Very different level of toxin.

I can’t believe our stoner reveries and urban legends are becoming true after three decades or so.

It is bad bad bad for our country.

Dope has made us what we are today.

The left loves dope smoking dope smokers.
