The best thing Obama can seem to say about the country is that it elected him into office.

So the question of the moment is whether Rudy Giuliani should be flayed or simply drawn-and-quartered for saying that Obama doesn’t love America. Naturally, this has led to Giuliani being called a racist, because the best working definition of racism in America today is any criticism of Obama that stings.

Kevin Williamson runs through the highlights of what is, by now, a pretty old argument. My own view isn’t so much that Giuliani is right, but that he’s not exactly wrong either.

Look, it was like a week ago that we were talking about Obama’s inability to criticize the Islamic State without first going out of his way to flagellate the West and America over the Crusades, the Inquisition, slavery, and Jim Crow. Is it really so crazy to think a guy who feels compelled to warn his own countrymen not to get on their “high horse” about child rapists and slavers (who are also beheading and/or immolating and/or burying alive Americans, Christians, Yazidis, and fellow Muslims) might subscribe to an, um, unconventional form of patriotism?

For the past millennium, OK the last six years just felt like a millennium I have been saying I did not think Obama was a Muslim. I said, that since he spent his formative years in a Muslim household and attended Muslim school, he had a very favorable view of Islam.
Maybe I was wrong.
I now suspect sometime between January 20, 2017 and January 1, 2018, we will be treated to a “FOX NEWS ALERT” that former President Barack H. Obama has “converted to Islam”.

I would add that there is the concept of America of Which I think Mayor Rudy had in mind. Then there are the Americans, you and I, Conservatives, the back bone, the core, we are certainly hated by Barack Obama and all his niggling minions.

There are 4 main ways one becomes a Muslim:

1. You recite the Shahada (the Islamic statement of faith) in Arabic.
2. Your father was a Muslim.
3. You attend a Muslim school for instruction on the Koran.
4. You attend a Mosque for the purpose of worship.

If the Muslim world knows you have done any of these and then you say you are not a Muslim, you are apostate... punishable by death. Obama has made it clear through a number of sources that he did indeed do all of these things... and the Muslim world does not consider him apostate. In fact, Qaddafi called him a brother.

Obama loves an America that he has radically transformed. Like most American leftists, Obama firmly believes the U.S. was a horrible, awful place until he was elected...and not just for black people either.

All leftists believe until the glorious, socialist revolution occurs, this has been a terrible country. So Obama loves a dream...a dream where capitalism and white privilege have been destroyed replaced by the leftist vision of what they want America to be.

He told George Stephanopoulis in 2008 that he was a muslim (he said that at least John McCain never made an issue of his "muslim faith").

George corrected him by saying "your Christian faith," but that wouldn't make sense.

I think Obama differs from most American leftists in that he is less of an American leftist and more of an international leftist than they are. Whereas the patriotism of American leftists has always been deeply conflicted, the international left just flat out hates America.
