Michelle Obama is the First Lady of the United State of America, but now she is also...Groot.
Michelle Obama officially cemented herself in geekdom by uttering I Am Groot on a recent episode of Funny or Dies Billy On The Street. In the episode of the quiz gameshow, Billy asks Obama to recite the Guardians of the Galaxys most famous line. Staring into the camera, Michelle did her best Vin Diesel impression possible.
As fans of Guardians of the Galaxy will remember, Groot, the intergalactic teams talking tree, only has a vocabulary that consists of I am Groot. Despite its brevity, the line became one of the most-loved moments from James Gunns 2014 film, spawning memes, t-shirts, and even an app.
Check out Michelle Obama embrace her inner Guardians geek at 8:35 mark below.
And now, its official: Not even the White House is safe from the Guardians of the Galaxy craze.
When is America’s Sweetheart gonna get that Senate campaign cranked up? All I’ve read about is her 5 star vacations and college trips with Malaria.
Blasphemy! I liked Groot.
I don’t think she is like Hillary. I think she is looking forward to a luxurious retirement, hanging out with celebrities and never lifting a finger again.
You may be correct.
I predict the money they collect for POTUS pardons will be stunning. The Obama Foundation will make the Clinton Global Initiative look like pocket change.
IS is burning people alive and Michelle O does comedy...JV team on display!
“Gronk” would have been more accurate.
The Groot of all evil?
That is one Grooty Wookie~!
Next presidential candidate for deems. The fix is in.
I agree...she will get all the caviar and lobster she ever wants...why would she want the misery of it all? I don’t think she is like Hillary at all.
Wow. That’s the best photo I’ve ever seen of da FLOTUS.
I think the IQ’s are about the same.
Groot is probably the largest garbage truck fleet in Cook County. Just FYI.
