So you take polutico (a fully supportive of conservatives website /s) and a doctored youtube as his words. congrats. Try this: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3259168/posts?page=42#42
I am just not getting on the Walker bandwagon. This is not the guy for restoring the constitutional republic. He’s just a more palatable Jeb Bush. So many Freepers are just nuts over him because he fought the union in WI. A good thing but not defining enough for the Presidency. I also worry that he does not have the charisma to win a general election.
Agreed, wholeheartedly!
Proverbs 18: 13
“If one gives an answer before he hears,
it is his folly and shame.”
You make good points.
We need good information about candidates for the primary.
I’ve read there are people who are paid to be on sites to disrupt, and I am not pointing a finger at anyone on FR, but it crosses my mind sometimes.
I can’t help but wonder if some posters ever stop to think about how they come across to the rest of the board.
I will aggressively champion a candidate but advocating is one thing, spamming continuously to disrupt vs championing your own guy is quite another.
I didn’t cite anything from politico, moron.
You can ignore any evidence, you can imagine that videos are doctored and you can vote for Walker as many times as you want.
But if you’re going to wet yourself every time the man is criticized, you’re in for a soggy two years lol.
Don’t blame Evangelicals for McCaskell.
It was the GOPe, led by Rove, that threw Todd Akin under the bus guaranteeing McCaskell’s victory.
I agree wholeheartedly. The only thing we do by running down other conservatives is to help Jeb, the one candidate I fully oppose (so far). We on FR (myself included) have jumped the shark too often in the past by exaggerating another candidates beliefs and intentions.
I am hoping Cruz is our candidate, but more of us need to heed your advice, the circular firing squad must stop.
It seems clear you don't care about that though.
You take your ‘shut up’ and stuff it up your nose.
Your link is as whiny and pathetic as the rest of you.
Do you really think acting like a hysterical bee-otch is going to bring anyone over to your worship of Walker?
Then again, I don’t think you are acting.
If the GOP wants to win hearts and minds, (read: elections) maybe they should walk the walk instead of just talking the talk --on immigration enforcement, for example.
Look. All this is scripted. The NAU is proceeding apace and nothing, not you, not I, not anyone, is going to derail that train.
The Democraps are playing their part, as are the Republipukes.
Todd Akin shot himself in the foot, with the full support of evangelicals. They are responsible for Jim Talent’s loss and they doubled down on the moron Akin.
In 2006? That was nearly a decade ago when this was first brought up. He was a county level politician?
Come on. People need to stop playing into Bush’s hands to kill Walker.
If it is Cruz or Bush, which do you choose?
If it is Walker or Bush, which do you choose?
We’re going to end up with Bush because we’ll kill off everyone else.
Good day to you sir, you won't have any more conversation until you can quote the first part of that article. Here, I'll do it for you:
BAIER: In 2013, you said you supported a path to citizenship for people living here illegally, but recently you've
WALKER: Actually, I'm glad you asked about that, because the Wausau newspaper erroneously quoted me on that. They listed a video on their website that actually showed that the person who asked the question said that, not me, and ever since then I've had to deal with reports over and over again.
BAIER: So that's wrong?
WALKER: That's wrong. It's not what I said. I have said I believe we need a legal immigration system. I have said repeatedly I oppose amnesty. I think we're a nation of immigrants, but we're also a nation of laws. We should have a legal way for people to come into this country either for work or for citizenship, just like we have for generations. Part of that deal is we need to make sure we have a border that's secure, not just for immigration reasons, but as I mentioned, for national security.
Ping to #72
Thank you, well said.
A Jeb Bush nomination would certainly inspire a Tea Party nominee in most states I believe.
Id think that produces a 50D/30R/20T outcome or thereabouts.
Trying to browbeat conservatives hasn’t worked in the last 2 elections. It won’t work in the next.
No. Todd Akin was inarticulate, but rather than standing and defending him (as democrats always do), Rove went on national TV and said he would no longer support Todd.
Todd Akin was leading McCaskill in the polls, but after Rove went out and slammed him, he never recovered.
Evangelicals go out and support GOP candidates all the time. However, when push comes to shove the GOPe is too embarrassed to be seen with them.
Well...count me as too embarrassed to be seen with Todd Akin.
Todd Akin is yesterday’s news.
Where is that link?
We need to run that as a separate thread on FR.
They are going to kill a good conservative on FR because folks are misinformed.
One of the most awesome tickets we could put forward would be Cruz/Walker or Walker/Cruz.
Why do we insist killing our own? Even if they don’t get the presidential nod, we then kill their chances for House, Senate, Governor’s seats. Are we really this stupid?
