Rep. Steve King bristles at ‘lawless land of Mexico’ criticizing judge’s immigration ruling

Rep. Steve King said Wednesday that a federal judge’s ruling has undercut Democrats’ filibuster of the homeland security funding bill, and urged his colleagues to stand strong on defunding not only the new deportation amnesty but also the 2012 program that granted tentative legal status to so-called Dreamers.

Mr. King, Iowa Republican, also bristled at Mexico’s criticism of the ruling, which halted the new amnesty and which the Mexican government said it “regrets” because it denies illegal immigrant Mexicans benefits they’ve earned.

“I shouldn’t be surprised that the lawless land of Mexico doesn’t understand the Constitution or the rule of law in the United States,” Mr. King said in a telephone interview.

Mexico, where they’re constantly finding mass graves filled with scores of decapitated bodies? That Mexico?

Oh they understand all too well. They dumped over 10% of their poorest, and least educated slobs on us, so we would support them instead of Mexico.

Thank God for Steve.

It’s beyond belief that Mexico meddles in US internal affairs and this government AND GW Bush’s government went along with it.

Mexico has NO business involving itself in the immigration laws of the United States. Colonization may be a goal of theirs but we are under no onus to cooperate with it.

If they would like to go to war with us over the right of their population to occupy our land, go right ahead. Would welcome yet another opportunity to resolve that question...we did it once before in 1846-48 and again in 1915.

As I recall We won fair and square a war that Mexico was dumb enough to start.

Not only that, but the people motivated enough to come to the US would potentially be motivated enough to change things in Mexico. The US is the safety valve that lets corruption continue in Mexico.

” The US is the safety valve that lets corruption continue in Mexico.”

Just how they want it, plus the illegals send billions back to Mexico.

I understand his point, but when it comes to illegal immigrants, Mexico is anything but lawless, and those laws are enforced with strength. That’s the point which needs to be made-that Mexico, the country which has and enforces very stringent immigration law, has no room to talk out of both sides of its mouth.

Wonder which sends back more: illegals working here? Or all the drug money our nation’s addicts send them.

Luis Guiterrez doesn’t get it either. He’s all for lawlessness.

“I shouldn’t be surprised that the lawless land of Mexico doesn’t understand the Constitution of Mexico or the rule of law in Mexico because the Mexican constitution does not allow emigration of Mexican citizens to another country without official written permission from the Mexican consulate in their respective states in Mexico.”
