"Fox News North" done in by the Canadian version of the FCC, which did not hold it to the same rules as the other more liberal broadcast networks.
This is what libs in America desperately want to do to Fox.

So what prevented a billionaire from buying it ?
The company was being harassed, not the electronics and brick and mortar

Some billionaire like Murdoch (or the Kochs) should buy it. (Or Beck should buy it for The Blaze.)

The advertisers “done it in”.
Few advertisers want a hard-headed conservative audience.
They prefer a mushy, manipulable liberal one.

It just means that there aren’t many conservatives in Canada. not enough to overcome the policy of the Canuck govt to silence free speech.

I was saddened and angry that Sun News had to go off the air. The deck was stacked against them from the get-go.
They were more hard-hitting than Fox, to be sure. Some very brave people, including Ezra Levant, Michael Coren, Brian Lillie, and more. I hope they land on their feet.
Still hoping a buyer will be found, but they’ll face the same obstacles.

Yes the left is dancing in the streets over this. Weirdly, for Americans who do not know, a handful of specially picked networks (Global, CTV, and CBC News) get special treatment in cable companies MUST put them in every basic cable package. The CRTS refused to give Sun News that treatment. It is no accident that CTV and Global are owned by the largest media conglomerates in Canada I am sure.
