Rival Buyer from Hell Moves in Just Down the Road from Couple She Terrorized:Woman, 53, Posted Fake
Daily Mail (U.K.) ^ | February 16, 2015 | David McCormack

A woman ordered to stay away from a couple for 10 years after she admitted to terrorizing them in revenge for being outbid on a home in San Diego has moved in just a mile down the road.

Kathy Rowe, 53, pleaded guilty last month to stalking and was sentenced to one year of home electronic surveillance and five years probation.

A judge also ordered her to stay away from Jerry Rice, 40, and Janice Ruhter, 37, for 10 years, but much to the couple’s distress she and her family have just moved into the same neighborhood. ‘I kind of think she has more of a reason now to attack us. So obviously, we’re concerned for the family,’ Rice told ABC’s 20/20 on Friday.

The couple have admitted that the stress caused by their ordeal with Rowe has caused them to take medication and having counselling.

Ms. Rowe however told 20/20 that despite her reign of terror she didn't intend to scare them.

How would you like to have this lunatic as your neighbor?

I hope the neighborhood watch keeps a close eye on her.

I don’t see how it could be construed in any other way than continued harassment, as who would want to live that close to someone convicted of harassing you?? It’s obvious the woman feels this will be the last straw to get the couple to move out once and for all. I know I’d move; life’s too short to deal w/psychos like that if you don’t have to!

If she’s in violation of the court order, she should go to jail. I guess it depends on how the court defined “stay away from.”

What an absolutely horrible person!

This is Helter Skelter in the making. The woman is certifiable, and she’s gonna go after the couple again, mark these words.

As soon as the couple get her on camera on or near their property, even just driving by, the authorities should throw her in jail.

Prosecutors shouldn’t have plea bargained. Should have sent the bitch away pretty much permanently.

I have had several in the apartment building I live in. No concern for anyone. Too many crazies in this world. I would think moving so close must violate the restraining order.

where is she getting the money from? She was fired from her job and it appears her husband is sick. Those homes in San Diego are not cheap.....

"How would you like to have this lunatic as your neighbor?"

She's what they make handguns for.

A mile away isn’t really a neighbor, in an urban environment.

So according to the U.K. press, the French stink, and we’re all crazy criminals. Not much has changed in Europe.

"The couple have admitted that the stress caused by their ordeal with Rowe has caused them to take medication and having counselling."

So they'll be unarmed, too. Crazy story.

One moment, the psycho stalker is moving in a few blocks away. The next moment, your pet bunny is boiling in a pot on the stove. This may be innocent - stalkerwoman just wanted to live in that area - but in may be a step away from a very ugly outcome. I’d start carrying in the home if I were in this family.

“I know I’d move...”

I agree with you especially since they have two boys to worry about. I wouldn’t want to live in a home where I am scared to bring the trash out at night or every creak sets me into panic mode. That’s no way to live. I’d get as far away from the nut job as I possibly could.

They should get a big, trained guard dog (German Shepherd or Doberman) if they don’t have one already. Nobody is going to sneak up with a barking dog on the scene.
