State police from Belle Vernon and Greensburg chased a tractor-trailer for 34 miles through Fayette and Westmoreland counties in Western Pennsylvania as the driver threw items at his pursuers from the cab of his truck early Saturday.
Christopher Boyer, 47, of Mifflintown, Juniata County, shoved a steel canister from his truck that hit and disabled a police car during the chase, according to state police. He also tossed a refrigerator, a mattress, his socks and his shoes.
He was under the influence of Xanax, police said. cComments

Boyer called 911 about 1:58 a.m. and claimed he was going to wreck his truck, according to state police. He gave 911 his location, and troopers were waiting to conduct a traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound near Exit 44 to Arnold City, Fayette County.
Boyer did not stop for the flashing lights and sirens, and the chase began.
Boyer used the EZ-Pass lane on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at New Stanton to pass through a toll gate during the chase, police said.
Police used spike strips to stop the truck by mile marker 95 on the turnpike, near Donegal, about 3:09 a.m.
Boyer refused to exit the cab when ordered by police. Eventually, troopers broke the window, using a stun gun to subdue Boyer.
Boyer's feet were cut by broken glass during the arrest because he did not have any shoes, according to police.
He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital, where his feet were treated and a blood sample was collected. He was then taken to Westmoreland County Prison.

Did he save the beer?
when they outlaw refrigerators, only outlaws will have refrigerators
Sounds like it could have been an unsuccessful case of attempted suicide by cop. Don’t you feel warm and fuzzy about druggies driving big commercial vehicles?

Doesn’t mention”Refrigerator-Throwing”, but hey...it says the list isn’t complete.
Just give me weed, whites and wine, and show me
a sign and I’ll be will’n...
I didn’t have the slightest idea, so...
From Drugs.com:
“Xanax (alprazolam) is a benzodiazepine medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorders...”
Well... at least it kept him from feeling anxious and panicky.
Or not.
what was a refrigerator and a mattress doing in the cab of a truck?
No kitchen sink?
Sleeper...
You have to interpolate——you can see how a severe case of constipation could get you into a reefer chucking mood. The thing that fascinates me is that this cowboy is driving an 80 thousand pound weapon but the best thing he can get his hands on weapons -wise, the best thing he can think of , is a 40 pound cabin reefer. If I was his lawyer I could get him certified nuts and the charges dropped with only slight effort. Just promise to keep him in the straight jacket for quite some time.
Who was driving the truck when he was pushing the fridge out?
Little Feat, The album, “Waiting for Columbus” on tour with the Tower of Power Horn Section, the Song Will’in, the year 1977. One of the best concerts I ever saw.
I Sing and listen to it in my car ofton. I’m not proud or tired .... we’re just waiting for it to come around ....
My antidisestablishmentarianism runs deep. Put that in my folder of been there done that.
Read between the lines as it were....
ah. of course. thnx.
