Former Defense secretary 'afraid' of impact of Netanyahu speech (Leon Panetta to CNN)

Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta is "afraid" what will happen when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks before a joint session of Congress next month.

"I'm afraid what is going to happen here with what Netanyahu will do is to make this partisan divide between Democrats and Republicans and that makes it a very dangerous trap," Panetta said on CNN's "State of the Union."

Netanyahu has said he plans to use his speech before Congress to criticize the administration's negotiations with Iran, which he claims are threatening Israel.

Panetta said he hopes lawmakers are able to find another way to listen to Netanyahu's views without it being used as a "partisan presentation."

"We need to get back to presidents and Congresses who can work together to try to confront the challenges we face," Panetta added.

If Paneta is afraid of it, the speech is obviously a good thing.

They’re afraid more Jews will notice that the Dems aren’t supporting Israel although their fears seem to be unfounded. The Jews still vote with the Dems even when they run blatant anti-Semites for office.

All this crap, and yet US Jews blindly support the DemocRAT Party; and likely will continue to do so even as they are loaded into boxcars for transport to “processing” centers run by Muzzie allies of the DIMS.

“He’s afraid of loosing Jewish voters to the GOP ...”

I worked for an Israeli company mostly staffed with American Israelis. I don’t think they could vote Republican even if the Democrats openly called for the destruction of Israel. They just couldn’t do it.

Face it. There is a divide. If an honest poll were taken in the remaining Democratic controlled congressional districts, support for Palestinians would outweigh support for Israel. Obama’s policies are not happening in a political vacuum. also it is important for the mullahs to understand that the deal they sign with Obama will never have the force of US law. It will never be presented, much less ratified by the US Senate. However Netanyahu should also understand that despite the thunderous response he will receive, changing demographics, a woeful ignorance of history in general and the Holocaust in particular is lessening the support that Israel once enjoyed in the US and in Europe.

“...work together to try to confront the challenges we face”

Someone should tell Panetta that the biggest “challenges we face” are douche-bags like him and pOTUS.

Give ‘em hell, Bibi!

The islamoNazi field command office (formerly known as the White House) is obviously very very afraid of the American Sheeple hearing even these few minutes of the truth about what the islamonazis are doing to them. Very afraid Indeed.

"We need to get back to presidents and Congresses who can work together to try to confront the challenges we face," Panetta added.

Tell me ONE thing, Leon, that THIS president has done to work together with any Congressional Republicans?

Answer?

You cannot.

I clearly remember the following:

I won
Eat your peas
Get in the back seat, I'm driving
You didn't build that
I've got a pen and a phone
I represent the majority who did not vote

The arrogant one needs to turn it down and compromise, not the milquetoasts Boehner and McConnell!
