I think you know by now after a week on threads like this that there are THEIR experts and the OTHERS - and the OTHERS don’t count. More power to you for keeping up the fight. It got too down and dirty for me last week.

The Sabin Polio vaccine was contaminated with SV40 Simian Virus from Rhesus Monkeys. In 1994, a doctor discovered SV40 in tumors in humans. The measles vaccine was contaminated wit ALV (chicken cancer virus). The vaccine has been mandated to be made from ALV-free eggs. Science is NOT settled. I varied my kids schedule because of: reactions, and if they were sick. Parent/Guardian is more of an EXPERT than some Govt. Hack. Vaccines are NOT PERFECT. They have SIDE EFFECTS and some are not known for YEARS.

In 1960, it was determined that the rhesus monkey kidney cells used to prepare the poliovirus vaccines were infected with the SV40 virus (Simian Virus-40). SV40 was also discovered in 1960 and is a naturally occurring virus that infects monkeys. In 1961, SV40 was found to cause tumors in rodents. More recently, the virus was found in certain forms of cancer in humans, for instance brain and bone tumors, pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma, and some types of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. SV40 was found to be present in stocks of the injected form of the polio vaccine (IPV) in use between 1955 to 1963.It is not found in the OPV form. Over 98 million Americans received one or more doses of polio vaccine between 1955 to 1963 when a proportion of vaccine was contaminated with SV40; it has been estimated that 10–30 million Americans may have received a dose of vaccine contaminated with SV40.Later analysis suggested that vaccines produced by the former Soviet bloc countries until 1980, and used in the USSR, China, Japan, and several African countries, may have been contaminated; meaning hundreds of millions more may have been exposed to SV40.

Use of the rotavirus vaccine Rotarix in the US has been temporarily suspended because the vaccine was found to be contaminated with porcine circovirus 1 DNA.

This is why believe that SCIENCE SHOULD NEVER BE SETTLED (and really never is). We are learning all the time. “Science is settled” stops research, safety, and ingenuity. Reported Side Effects can push scientists to make a product SAFER.

Oops, I missed this one. I read through her whole wikipedia article, and did not see any credentials qualifying her in vaccinology, immunology, microbiology, biochemistry, or in any other field that would qualify her to be considered a vaccine expert.

All I see is that you quoted one statement that she said, out of any context.

One thing you have to be careful of is that anti-vax sites often love to quote people who have no expertise in the science of vaccines. They'll point out that those people have PhDs or MDs, as if the degree itself and not the subject studied for the degree is important. They gloss over the fact that those "experts" actually have no experience in vaccine research. Some people go to school and get legitimate MD or PhD degrees and yet remain pseudoscience aficionados. If a person is presented as an expert, but they are saying things that are not documented within the medical literature, that should be a huge red flag. Anyone who is an expert can point to research that supports their statements, and anyone can verify that the research does, in fact, say what the expert says it does.
