It was the moment Omar Alkhani believed he was about to secure the release of his girlfriend, the last American hostage held by Islamic State. Kayla Mueller stood before him in her dimly lit cell dressed in a traditional long black abaya cloak, her face covered. At great personal risk, Omar had ventured into the heart of the terror group's power base in Syria to try to bring her home. Naively, perhaps, he was convinced that all Kayla had to do was confirm their cover story that they were man and wife to the IS 'judge' standing between them.

Another lie told by a moslem.
this woman was not what she is portrayed to have been
I remember the naive woman who converted in Somalia to avoid rape. They raped her still. Just because.
I don’t believe anything he says, or what ISIS says because that’s all we ever get. They do what they want to do and naive western women are just grist for the mill.
Another rachel corrie.
Was she beheaded?
I would not be surprised in the least if soon ISIS releases a video of the woman being beheaded or burned alive like the Jordanian pilot.
I know people on here will talk about how she was “asking for this” by being in Syria. Or that she was pro-islam, so she deserved what she got.
I understand those positions.
But I know friends of my daughters who do missionary work in places like this. They are people who believe as this woman did that their work with the poor was worth the risk. I know women like this who fall in love with men from different cultures.
I often shake my head, but they believe in their work. Mostly in places like India and Bangladesh.
I feel sorry for the girl, and her family, and I do have some empathy for this guy. To go into the belly of the beast to make a case to get his girlfriend out is about as ballsy as you can get.
The whole thing sucks.
Bet he was the one who sold her to ISIS in the first place.
GOOOOAT! GOOOOAT!
Sorry, that’s all I heard from “heartbroken in ISIS guy”....
poor guy, wonder why she didn’t say she was his wife?
That will never happen.
They want to use her death as a wedge between the US and Jordan.
Why do you think these stories are coming out now? They are coming out to diffuse any anger, by making her look complicit by being a sympathizer who got what she had coming.
Any story coming out of that area comes out with a purpose. Do not believe they are independent journalists in that part of the world.
“”Was she beheaded?””
She wasn’t because it was reported that THEY had better manners than that; THEY wouldn’t behead a woman!! And it was reported with a straight face by news readers.
I think your question is probably facetious but she was supposedly killed when the building she was being held in was destroyed by JORDANIAN planes - as if who was flying the planes could be determined! AND she was the ONLY PERSON in that demolished building! Lie upon lie upon lie..
Maybe if she had worn a “COEXIST” shirt - things would have worked out differently...
I'm having breakfast over here.
Now there's something I haven't seen before.
Yes I heard the ridiculous cover story. I clicked this link hoping that the boyfriend would tell how they really killed her. But he’s no doubt been warned that it wouldn’t be good for his health if he did. That is, if he knows. Which I presume he does.
Missionary work is a whole different thing because it is done to further God’s kingdom. Busybodies and their NGOs, which are not focused on Christ’s call, are basically just spinning their wheels. There is a difference.
Surely the obama regime is doing all they can to prevent that release. Maybe providing them more guns for keeping the tape on ice.
“”It has been suggested because of his early release that Omar might have been complicit in Kayla’s capture. It is a claim he denies. Moreover, Kayla’s parents do not believe this to be true. A family spokesman said: ‘The family knows that he cared for her deeply.’””
Sadly, her parents seem to be as naïve as she was.....
