NEWARK In a sign of the changing climate for unauthorized immigrants, Rutgers-Newark will host a first-of-its-kind college admissions fair this weekend for students who came to the U.S. illegally.

Anything to make a buck.
He wants to be YOUR President.
in a right world...This would be a sting operation...
We need to cut off the funding to universities. At the very least it should be severely restricted to only teaching real things.
Maybe with all the free government money they can add an entire wing to the school offering a degree in remedial arts
Just another part of the destruction and remake of America into the workers utopia,
I would be willing to bet that there is a law prohibiting discrimination in education based on citizenship. Maybe the Rutgers College Republican (I doubt there are two) could use that to demand access to the event.
“unauthorized immigrants”
LOL....never heard this one. My favorite is “ entrants “
I’m sure there are wealthy, ordinarily giving Rutgers alumni out there that would be very interested in this news. Someone needs to fire off a memo to them.
Take a trip to the Newark campus of Rutgers one of these days. It looks like the student body is comprised mostly of immigrant students and affirmative action admissions.
P.S. This is the reason why the state government of New Jersey has been going to such great lengths to accommodate illegal immigrants. There are entire industries and geographic areas of the state that would be declining were it not for immigration (legal and illegal).
Paid for by Obama’s College Fund for Obama’s Illegals
Rutgers is the WORST beacon state university out of the 50.
It SUCKS!
As you mentioned, the campus are all over the place. I mean Rutgers main “campus” is five campuses all over the place; Busch,Livingston, Cook, Douglas and College ave.
You got to take crazy long rides from one campus to another, and it’s considered one campus.
Further, that is why their Athletic programs SUCK. Hmmm, let me see, would I rather go to say, Pitt, BC, ‘cuse, WV, V Tech, Penn State to play football, or a crapy student body life and “campus” at Rutgers New Brunswick? Same goes for hoops. I mean, Jersey loses so many athletes to other universities because the complex SUCKS!
My little cousins are scholoriship athletes at RU. They could have went anywhere. My aunt steered them to RU because she can’t her kids grow up.
The had offers from almost every AAU program in America.
They chose Rutgers.
Shaking my head.
Get the word out to your illegal neighbors...IT’S A TRAP! You show up, they load you on buses, transport you to a gulf port. They load you on ships, and off you go, to Tierra del Fuego. It’s a long walk back from there!
The easiest visa to get is a student visa. Obama has proven that.
Twenty+ years ago there was an active chapter (Bush I was president); I don’t know about now.
Newark is desperate to keep consumers with money in their pockets in the city. Before leaving for the Senate, Cory Booker wanted a “teachers village”, which from what I understand would have been a pocket of Anglo workers/taxpayers living within a compound in downtown Newark to spur the economy (as consumers, targets for panhandlers, etc.).
Yesterday Newark held its first auction of abandoned lots for $1,000; the buyers had to pledge to live there for five years after building on them. This was how the homesteads worked when the West was settled; Charles Ingalls (”Little House on the Prairie”) had to improve and live on his claim for five years and the government would give him the title. This is what Newark is reduced to: More attempts to draw productive people back with such incentives. All previous attempts have failed; Newark still has less people today than before the riots of the 1960s.
Most of the people on line appeared to be black, though they interviewed one lighter couple who spoke with thick accents.
Years ago it was a good school, especially for the cost. Lib rabble-rousers would show up with megaphones, rant for ten minutes, then realize they should have gone to the New Brunswick campus if they were looking for idle young people searching for the meaning of life. Rutgers Newark had a lot of serious students, many of whom were working while going to school, who focused on nothing but education. Considering it is in a war zone, it was no surprise; kids didn’t go there for fun.
