How do whales navigate anyway? Could this be caused by some major seismic-volcanic event that might or might not have struck yet?
Sort of reminds me of what happened a week after the Great Kanto Earthquake that devastated Japan in 1923....
... when a bunch of Clemson-class US destroyers ran aground (they probably looked like whales) called the Honda Point Disaster....
