Probably right. A BOA and xPF are quite similar...

The Dunmore proclamation was a bill of Attainder.

Some like to claim it was the Brits freeing the slaves during the revolution. In fact it stripped patriots of their property, slaves included. Slaves were given to loyalist families and British officers and males were given a choice of fighting for the Brits with a promise of freedom or resold.

Interestingly enough, many who fought for the British were simply left here, fled to Canada and many who served on ships were resold in the Caribbean.
