So Palin and Cruz are pushing Obama to arm Ukraine, because of Syria?

Who said anything about Cruz and Palin? Bobalu and I were addressing Zero's reasons.

Care to point out what the “nonsense is, in that one sentence question?

It was pointing out your goofy nonsense, the answer is that no, Reagan conservatives like Senator Ted Cruz and Governor Palin are not pushing for NATO help to Ukraine, because of Syria.

Sounds like the beginning of the Vietnam War.

I’m surprised the WH didn’t call them ‘advisors’.

Obama became enraged and decided to pay Putin back by meddling in Ukraine.

I think that was John McCain you’re talking about.

Simply mentioning Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz, and their position on Ukraine, does all this to you?

So it’s ok for Russia to meddle in Ukraine?

It’s ok for Russia to attack a sovereign nation?

But if somebody says, wait a second, maybe Russia should be the F out of Ukraine...well that’s just too much?

You Russian’s never let up do you? As long as you can take over a country, kill everyone there, you’re happy.

Pretty deranged if you ask me.

Rag tag? Kind of like the Revolutionary Army against the Brits...yeah they had no chance as well.

Anybody standing up to Russia deserves our support.

Russian’s are nothing but a bunch of thugs.

You saying ‘We’ can only mean ‘Russia’.

In that case you’re right.

Russia invaded and took over a Crimea, and Eastern Ukraine.

Google ‘Russians are thugs’

Most people know what an attacking thug army looks like.

Only in a Russian’s world view did Ukraine provoke an attack on itself, therefore justifying Russia to take over parts of Ukraine.

If nothing else it is a perversion of the truth.

This was being said back in March of 2014 when Russians invaded Crimea. Russians were planning a May 9th Victory Day in Kiev. Now almost a year later, Ukraine stands stronger then where it was a year ago. Russia’s bleeding money, economy/rubble/oil are tanking, and despite throwing in thousands of troops, it’s not advancing in E. Ukraine.

America needed almost 400,000 troops to invade and occupy Iraq (which is half the population of Ukraine), Russia is nowhere near that, both in terms of quality and quantity. The 40-50K it mastered at the border can make single strikes as far as Lviv even, but it would be mighty hard not to get bogged down in the cities and control a country of 45M with that kind of strike force.

The Ukraine has absolutely no realistic chance in a military clash with Russia. The rest of Europe will not help them. We do not want to have war with Russia.

Therefore the best they can do is to end their engagement in the eastern part of their country and give the people living there self-autonomy.

Regards from Europe

Andreas

The lack of support from old Europe was expected before it all started. Baltic states and Poland have been expected, and are, in Ukraine’s corner. Anybody else is a bonus. Ukrainians know that they’re the ones who will be doing all the lifting, but it’s something that has to be done if Ukraine is to be independent.
There are (at least) two reasons why Ukraine is fighting in the east
1) Russia invaded Ukraine, and those are Ukrainian citizens and land
2) Creating autonomies in the east will not be stopping Russians. Kiev and Lviv are targets as well, if not in this generation, then the next.

Also, why would there be awe and fear of the Russian military machine? they die like the rest
