You may remember that after Sadam’s fall in Iraq one the major problems with Iraq becoming self-sufficient was the constant sabotage of the oil pipelines and bandits punching hole in the pipes to steal oil.

They couldn’t keep the pipelines in service because of the constant damage being done to them.

I cannot see Syria being different.
