GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a western Pennsylvania teenager charged in the shooting death of another teen took a selfie with the body and sent it to a friend on social media. The 16-year-old boy is charged with homicide and a firearms count in the death of 16-year-old Ryan Mangan, who was found Wednesday evening in his Jeannette home. Police were contacted by the mother of another boy who said he'd received a photo showing the suspect with the victim after he'd been shot, and also received text messages from the suspect saying "Told you I cleaned up the shells" and "Ryan was not the last one."

He is making sure to clean up the Forensic evidence.
I guess CSI never had an episode where they caught the bad guy because he sent pictures of himself at the crime scene with the dead victim over the internet.
You can understand how a budding criminal genius could make that mistake.
I actually live in the city where this happened. I can’t really say this is a racial hate crime. There are more biracial kids in this town than you can shake a stick at. I do think it was probably gang related. This perp had to prove that he could kill someone. May this killer rot in jail!

I suspect “cleaned up the shells” has nothing to do with removing evidence. I’m betting “shells” is slang for something, possibly “white people.” Apparently in the Bahamas, white people are called “conchs” (conch shells). I’m wondering if it’s more something like that.

I think 'cleaned up the shells' means he didn't think he would get caught because he then goes on to say something to the effect that he's going to do it again.

However The On-line Slang Dictionary entry for SHELL is ‘crazy.’
But slang is regional and it may mean whitey where this thug lives.
