I don’t know what specific bill this guy is talking about, but I think he’s making reference to a transvaginal ultrasound. This is different than the more common abdominal type. Essentially, it’s done with a wand with a flat, blunt tip that is held against the vaginal opening, with minimal if any penetration. It gives a more precise view of the fetus in relation to his/her position against the cervix.
I’ve had more ultrasounds than I can count — both types — and I can tell you, the transvaginal is not “humiliating” or “invasive” unless you choose to view it as such. EVERY transvaginal ultrasound I had, the tech gave me the wand and **I** was one who determined how “invasive” things got. EVERY time, it was almost easier than the abdominal version.

If you think a trans vaginal ultrasound is humiliating, wait until you are gussied up for the abortion. Those instruments go much farther into you than the ultrasound wand.
