Haven't looked up Professor Pablo Salazaar.
“There’s a racial component, because as you probably know, the salt in the sea contributes to the buoyancy of it, and as we all know black people tend to be less buoyant that white folks, and it’s gonna result in their being able to enjoy the ocean less.”
I wouldn’t doubt if this is an authentic call one bit, because as everyone knows................EVERYTHING is racist.
Human consumption of sea salt is mice nuts compared to what is harvested for industrial use and water softener consumption.
If we could just cure black racism......
To the contrary of “taking salt out hurts the ocean”,
the ocean _should be_ pretty much solid salt if all the processes happening today had been happening for beeyyiiillllions of years.
I’m pretty sure the call was a joke.
The obvious solution to the callers concern is to build more desalination plants, that way we will be pumping the resulting brine back into the ocean to replace the salt removed for consumption. The end result is that Gaia will be back in balance, which is more than can be said for the callers mind.
The callers in his, “School soccer is a health catastrophe” gag were all STONE COLD SERIOUS and remained utterly unaware Rush considered all the concern hilarious.
First time I heard it I nearly wet my pants, laughing!
I use sea salt for all my BBQ’ing needs.
And did you ever notice that nobody sells a confection named Uranus?
I remember Rush on Friday inviting people to call in and “give it your best shot” and just “make it up,” make up a story, like Brian Williams. That’s probably what that call was. :-)
He took the call while he was talking about the Brian Williams lying scandal, so I took it as him making the point by being absurd.
Salt, sodium, Na, being a basic element, even if consumed by humans, is not going anywhere. Except, back into the oceans.
“There is so much assault in the Dead Sea”
Hope the battery component isn’t growing as well.
It was a joke call. In honor of Brian Williams, Rush clearly invited callers to call in with made up stories.
ha! this must be satire... btw, i use sea salt and kosher salt... i am not rich...
This thread made me thirsty.
It’s just not fair that the there is so much Kosher salt because of the Dead Sea.
Yes, it was a gag. I listened to it. Rush was having callers call in with outrageous stories ala Lyin’ Brian...
