It's not clear what prompted the Nocona officer to fire his weapon and no other information was provided. Translation: We're meeting with our lawyers to figure out a good way to spin this so the shooting is justifiable yet the dead cop doesn't look bad.

If it was domestic assault, I found out two things about them when I worked EMS.
1. They subconsciously know it is wrong.
2. They are going to do it anyway.
That makes for a dangerous combination because they will not accept help. You can’t reason with them. People who do bad things and know they are doing bad things are the most dangerous types of people.

My police friends have always said the "domestic disturbance" call is what always causes the highest "pucker factor"; ie, a call which causes the most "interactions" between police and the GDP.
