The U.S. Army has decided to award the Purple Heart to victims of the Fort Hood massacre, sources tell Fox News.
Three sources confirmed that the Army will announce the decision by next week.

But can they do this if the shootings are still officially considered to be workplace violence, as opposed to a terror attack? Will Ft. Hood finally be considered a terrorist attack after all???
This is a tacit admission that the attack was not “work place violence”.

“The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the armed forces of the U.S. who are wounded by an instrument of war in the hands of the enemy and posthumously to the next of kin in the name of those who are killed in action or die of wounds received in action.”
This means this is not workplace violence. This is officially being recognized as a wounding with an instrument of war by the enemy.
