You need a military stalemate for a diplomatic solution.

Now that we have Slow Joe’s informed opinion .... what does Lurch Kerry-Heinz have to say about it. Each has a perfect 40 year history of being wrong about every foreign policy.

The military solution is being played out. Unfortunately for the Ukrainians, it’s a Russian military solution.

Can’t we at least send them some double-barrel shotguns to fire from their balconies?

Obama’s parrot. A strong America could do wonders for the Ukraine situation....but not for a while.

Ukraine needs to let the ethnically-Russian, pro-Moscow East determine their own future. The people who live there don't wish to be ruled by Kiev.

For once, Biden is saying something that makes sense. Hope his boss agrees.

"“We’ve said from the beginning that for this crisis, there is no military solution,”"

Another example of children being in charge. You never ever project your intentions! You keep the advisaries guessing while you develop your strategic/tactical objectives.

I often believe that Obambi chose Biden for his incompetence and loose mouth so Obambi could look like the Messiah in comparison. What could possibly be the reason for having such an idiot for a VP?

Diplomacy for the Russkies is just another means of warfare. Diplomacy in this context also implies “Russia gets to keep Crimea and setup a Soviet zone inside Ukraine”, because it seems to mean as if the Russians have a legitimate beef to negotiate, when they are only thieves and murderers. The real solution isn’t diplomacy— but only to play at diplomacy, while arming the Ukrainians to continue their resistance and make the Russians think twice.

Killing large numbers of Russians definitely needs to be a priority. I have no argument against that’s.

"We've said from the beginning that for this crisis, there is no military solution," he said in the written interview with Süddeutsche and its European news partners.

Might this be the same as "we surrender"?

Ukraine needs to let the ethnically-Russian, pro-Moscow East determine their own future. The people who live there don't wish to be ruled by Kiev.

Well, first of all, this reveals a lack of understanding of the actual demographics in East Ukraine. "Ethnic Russians" are a minority even in the East. And of those ethnic Russians, only a smaller minority than that, the Communist and drunkie voting bloc, supports separatism. To say that this minority should determine their future is to basically say that they get to determine the future of the majority in East Ukraine.

What you should be saying is: "If these scumbag Communists want to join Russia, they should just cross the border into Russia."

It's also a stupid concept to begin with. Imagine La Raza trying to cut off bits of Texas because a bunch of illegal aliens crossed the border and then launched an insurgency. That's literally what is happening in East Ukraine. The fighters coming in are all from Russia, either soldiers, or else extremists recruited by government agents. Even the "separatist" leaders are Russians from Russia. The appropriate answer is to slaughter them all.

Azov, Dnipro and the other Right Sector Battalions do accept foreign volunteers.
Step up, then.

All of the sudden, I mean in the last 24 hours, the usual Obamunist Administration suspects are suddenly trying to walk back the rhetoric.

Russia has sent some pretty clear signals in the last 3-4 days, and it sure scared the hell out of Hollande and Merkel.

The Russians have a military solution and they are using it.

The Ukrainians have us on their side - which means they are scr*wed because our dithering fools in Washington aren't going to do anything except wring their hands and maybe send a few more truckloads of MREs.

So the Russians will prevail. It is merely a question of how much they want to push it.
