The Crusades were so misunderstood that it isn’t funny. They were an attempt to reconquer Christian land lost to Muslims. Those lands were inhabited by Christians. It wasn’t a conquest. Oh, and both sides committed atrocities during the Crusades, as well as acts of heroism and selflessness.

Yet, I still can’t find a good documentary on the Crusades that doesn’t portray Christians as evil and Muslims as perfect angels.
