The issue with Predators, and any UAV, is that sensitivity of the encryption in their data linking.
All it takes is one Iranian spy in the right place inside the Jordanian military and the encryption gets compromised.
So I don’t have a problem with keeping Predators closely held assets. OTOH I would have a problem if the story was that the Administration had withheld targeting and other intel (like the feeds from our Predators) that would have supported Jordanian attacks.
We’re already flying them out of Jordan. This is really about letting the Jordanians pick some targets.
