My father-in-law ran a YMCA summer camp in central Massachusetts for disadvantaged kids in the 1940’s. One day Ted Williams and Johnny Pesky came out and spent a day with the kids. No publicity, no announcement. The say the best indication of character is how you treat people who are in no position to benefit you.
