Would you believe that a Dell hardware technician just left after having failed to fix the internet connection problem. I think it’s been 2 months now with paid geeks and a Dell geek leaving here confounded after getting a new LAN card and new motherboard. Next will be a Dell software technician.

New LAN and new MB points to issue existing outside the box, possibly in the wire somewhere.
And depending on where the main connection is, in my case a DSLAN box, it could be anywhere between your box and the main connection.
*WHEEEE*
So if it is DSL, your wall connectors could be bad, cable could have issues, or connection in the DSLAN box is wonky.
If cable, even better!
Could be the cable box, some idiot somewhere STEALING CABLE has wonked your connection and good luck finding it, or the connection at their tie in point is wonked!
