NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams on Wednesday's program offered a clarification of the events that led to his news team being protected in Iraq by the Third Infantry in 2003 — and his recent honoring of one of the Army vets who was there.

Williams and his team were actually in one of the aircraft following a Chinook helicopter that was hit.
In fact, in the original Dateline special on the incident, Williams even says, "On the ground we learn the Chinook ahead of us was almost blown out of the sky," acknowledging he was not in the lead helicopter.

Williams and his camera crew were actually aboard a Chinook in a formation that was about an hour behind the three helicopters that came under fire, according to crew member interviews.

It would be amusing to watch Williams who lied about coming under fire interview Hillary Clinton who told a similar lie when leaving a plane. It would be amusing but the sobering reality is that the vast majority of voters will have never heard of these fabrications and will simply believe whatever these two phonies will say.
Also, as of this AM he said he spent 2 days in the desert which was also a lie because a military person said he jumped on a plane and flew back to Kuwait. Liberals will lie as long as they can. Glad he got caught - it just took 12 years to catch up to him.
