Democrats were gleeful when Republicans Chris Christie and Rand Paul got tangled this week in the debate over the Disneyland measles outbreak, until similar words from the pasts of President Obama and 2016 front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton came out.
Mr. Christie walked back his recent comments calling for balance and a role for parental choice on childhood vaccines, saying in a Monday statement that with a disease like measles, theres no question kids should be vaccinated.
But the Democratic posturing as the party of science was short-lived. Several websites promptly dug up a comment from Mr. Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign in which he said the research on whether vaccines cause autism was inconclusive.
Then it was reported Tuesday that Mrs. Clinton had responded to a questionnaire during the 2008 presidential primary race from a vaccine skeptics group in which she said, I am committed to make investments to find the causes of autism, including possible environmental causes like vaccines.
The episode reveals that the emotionally charged vaccination issue has political pitfalls for both parties as candidates line up for the 2016 presidential contest, even though a Pew Research Center report released last week shows Democrats and Republicans alike strongly support childhood vaccinations.

Vaccines Nanny State PING!
All of our leaders are IDIOTS!
The next ‘War On Women’.
EVERYTHING is a game to these Commiecrats.
I remember a baby who almost died after getting an MMR shot.
The bulk of our politicians need to be vaccinated against STUPIDITY.
Too late,they’re already infected.
Which is why the New York Times dropped the issue like a hot potahto.
Wasn’t Hillary! the reason we ran out of some critical flu vaccine one year? She was strong-arming one manufacturer or another for kickbacks?
from what i can tell from popular culture, you don’t question 9/11, you don’t question the holocaust, and you don’t question vaccines.
If we controlled our borders, we probably wouldn’t have to worry about the damn measles!
Thanks for the ping!
Yes. Yes they are.
You don’t question evolution, global warming, or Sodomite ‘marriage’.
Hillary's Vaccine Shortage
Post #12
Hillary continued in her attempt to show us how the village can care for the health of its children. She established a huge national distribution center with a large, government run warehouse in New Jersey. Soon vaccine manufacturers were shipping vaccine to the warehouse. All seemed peachy until a representative of the vaccine manufacturer noticed the warehouse wasnt refrigerated. Without refrigeration the vaccine stored in the warehouse would become stale and actually present a risk to the children inoculated. (snip)
“..All of our leaders are IDIOTS!”
We don’t have any leaders....not in the important positions.
Wow, the media is really reaching for straws to trip up the Republican candidates. Makes me think they’re really worried about Hillary, who’s obviously in hiding and creating another political makeover.
It would be nice if some of these pundits like the blond on Fox News would do their job right and inform the public on specifics like what’s been studied about particular vaccines and what hasn’t been studied about them. And which studies show equivocal results.
Hold people like Bill Gates accountable. Question him, publically and thoroughly about his videotaped comments which seem to indicate that he wants to “reduce the population” through the use of vaccines. How can this icon of intellect make stupid statements like this and not realize it’s only going to fuel the fires of “conspiracy theory.”
(Given the fact that vaccines are meant to preserve life, not destroy it.)
