Cruz is a great leader, but his inexperience and un proven abilities as a chief executive so his lack of proven ability to run an organization is a significant drawback that needs to be addressed.
On the other hand, Cruz is solid on foreign policy, a place where Walker is unproven.
Abraham Lincoln only served 2 years in the House yet he went on to lead our country through a terrible Civil War and kept the union together.
There have been good & bad from all different places. Whether they have been a senator, a congressman or a governor really isn’t a good litmus test on it’s own. You have to look at many more things. Their policies, voting records, past statements, integrity and morality. Leadership can come from all different walks of life.
We should have learned from the past that polls mean nothing. Especially polls this early in the game. In fact, Walker’s early and fast rise to the top may hurt him rather than help him. It’s better at this point to wait and watch. Listen to what they say, watch what they do and study and compare.
I think most of us here agree that Bush is a non-starter for us. Walker has not at this point detailed and clarified his policies enough for us to determine what he really thinks. So far all we have are a handful of past statements about immigration from Walker that give many of us pause and worry. In time, this will sort itself out.
