We get handed a group of people to choose from and we choose one ... but like jury selection ... a process is enacted to present the result the selector desires.

I couldn't agree more!

I've come to realize that the last presidential election where the American people had an actual choice between two different ideologies was in 1984.

I honestly don't think that GHWB, Dukakis, Clinton, Dole, GWB, Gore, Kerry, Obama, McCain, Romney were really any different and I don't think that any of them would have dealt with any issue any differently.

The GOP and the Democrats have been reduced to little more than two rival liberal factions. They are both pursuing the same objectives, their only contention lies in who gets to take credit for it.

It's kind'a like that Mucinex commercial where the phlegm ball is really a kind'a colorful cartoon character with quasi funny lines ... he ain't liked nor wanted ... but he's OK untill someone else (Mucinex) takes him out

We've been droned into complacency

When we get pissed off at the phlegm ball, we then might make a difference
