What should American conservatives to do when the leaders of their chosen party have become nearly indistinguishable from liberal Democrats? Vote? Write letters and emails? Make phone calls? Stay at home and refuse to participate? Withhold our financial support?
We have tried all of those things repeatedly, over the course of the past 100 years but nothing seems to have worked. If anything, todays GOP establishment leaders are more distant from, and more hostile to, conservatives than at any time since the Republican Party was founded.

No,it’s not a good thing. The attack on the 2A will be the primary focus of the libs.

What're you ... NUTS ?
Some one should stand outside of Congress and hand out canes while they filr in for their days' ... um .... work.
The FEDERAL Senate and house can PROPOSE amendments, why do people freak out when we suggest that a MAJORITY of the STATE houses do the SAME EXACT THING?
OK what is your solution/suggestion. So far, we are doing nothing, and I feel so helpless.
The Left has a snowball’s chance in Hell of getting any of their agenda even close to adoption.

It may be a challenge for people to even find out who their state legislators are but do what needs to be done and send them the below amendment proposal which one can bet they will like very much because its right up their alley, its natural to them and has no political repercussions for them.
Heres what they need to propose as an amendment to the Constitution:
________________________________________
To redress the balance of powers between the federal government and the States and to restore effective suffrage of State Legislatures to Congress, the following amendment is proposed:
AMENDMENT XXVIII
Section 1.
A Senator in Congress shall be subject to recall by their respective state legislature or by voter referendum in their respective state.
Section 2.
Upon a majority vote in two-thirds of state legislatures, federal statutes and federal court decisions shall be overridden.
Section 3.
Term limits for Senators in Congress shall be set by vote in their respective state legislatures but in no case shall be set less than twelve years.
________________________________________
SEND THE ABOVE DRAFT AMENDMENT PROPOSAL TO YOUR STATE LEGISLATORS, CALL THEM TO CONFIRM THEY RECEIVED IT, THEN GET THEIR FEEDBACK!
Now if Section 1 above is replaced with a repeal of the 17th Amendment, that may be even better but it may be a hard sale. Recalling US Senators gets the job done for state legislatures and it also requires interaction with the voters as they retain the right to vote for their US Senator.
With the above amendment, there would be no Obamacare, no same-sex marriage nonsense and so on. Most of the social issue tyranny would go away.
What substantially remains is a check on federal spending and tax reform. Both are adequately addressed by first passing HR 25 (Senate S-155) which a President Cruz has already pledged to do and by passing HJRes 16 or by similar repeal from the Convention of States.
Heres the text of HR 25 and also in PDF:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/25/text
https://www.congress.gov/114/bills/hr25/BILLS-114hr25ih.pdf
and for HJRes 16:
There are plenty of proposed amendments presently in Congress but they go nowhere because they take power away from the federal government.
On the other hand State Legislatures can convene to do what Congress will not do on its own. And State Legislatures need approval from no one except themselves and the voters that support them.
Mark Levin answers all the idiots posing your question.
Listen to Mark Levin, then come back and explain how your question is even relevant:

How will ‘they’ get their agenda into anything controlled by 66 of 99 Republican state Chambers?
Answer the above. I’m all ears.
Oh and thank you for the AH attack, there Mr. high horse. Go screw yourself - typical lib name calling. A convention is a bad idea and I will be here to remind you and Levin of that when it goes off the rails - and I will start name calling then.
Hahaha!
You’ve got nothing but wind and piss!
And everyone here with a brain can see it!
Bye-Bye!
That and it will have lots “positive rights.” The new Constitution will “rights” to all sorts taxpayer funded goodies - food, shelter, education, high-speed wireless, cellphones, freedom from “hate,” etc.
After all, who could be against everybody having these things? /sarc
Nope.
Between fraud, media bias, low information voters and the Free Stuff Army, they have pretty a certainty of getting their agenda passed.
IOW - let's maintain the status quo where the Left keeps making inroads and we never do anything to stop it because the fix is never in for us.
Great strategy...
