American business who do business with Venezuela, knew who they were dealing with .No sympathy for them.

Exactly my thoughts as well. They've had years of warning & continuing socialist decay to get out of there before the inevitable end due to economic collapse and/or nationalization of their assets.

If you do business in Venezuela, you don’t get the money from your customers but the government. The government can take years and years to pay, and now often does not pay at all. It controls the exchange rates, no matter what is the actual facts on the ground.

Why would anyone do business under these conditions?

Yet another chain store was taken over by the government, sort of like a Walgreens or CVS, this time they jailed the CEO and some others.

The laughable reason is that the chain was not selling its products (in other words they lost money to competitors on purpose I guess)
