President Obama said Monday he will reject any budget from Congress that doesn’t boost spending on both defense and his own domestic priorities, saying the spending “sequesters” need to go.
“America can’t afford being short-sighted and I’m not going to allow it,” the president said while speaking at the Homeland Security Department as he released his $4 trillion budget for fiscal 2016.
His budget calls for boosting discretionary spending by more than 6 percent, and raising taxes to pay for it.
Those proposals have been panned on Capitol Hill, where Republicans control both the House and Senate and have rejected the president’s vision of using the tax system to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor.

So this is what the HOR gets for approving of the budget before the last session ended? They can’t be this dumb, to not stand for the principles they were elected to implement. They have to be complicit.
Congress can pass its own budget, and the president does not have to sign it. And Congress can pass the appropriations bills whether or not a budget has been passed by either house of Congress. So he is blowing smoke again.
I think Congress needs to pass the defense appropriations bill right away with the necessary increases, and send it to him for signature. If he refuses to sign it because they haven’t passed the domestic spending appropriations bills, make him own that - make the point in the press every time a GOP representative is interviewed. Don’t wait and send him another omnibus bill that he can veto and then blame on the GOP.
In their world cutting spending means cutting the raise by a penny.
They cut my raise by 1%.
Now I’m only getting 99% of my pay raise.
So, I assume ‘not raising spending’ actually means not raising it all that we have planned to raise it. Anything less than we planned to raise it is cutting it, even if it is still MORE than last year.
These people are evil.
But he WILL always be happy to accept a budget that RAISES TAXES and STEALS PEOPLE’S PROPERTY.

I don’t think they approved the budget. They approved the FY15 approps omnibus.
This is for the FY16 budget. Approps for it will be up later in this FY.
How many years did Harry Reid’s Senate go without passing a budget? I don’t see much issue here.

When did odumbo and the demodummies ever pass a budget? All they want is an open check book.
If these a-holes in DC hadn’t LOOTED these funds (Highway Trust, Social Security, etc.) to BUY VOTES and ship billions of it to nations that hate us so they can repay the loans the international banksters advanced and we underwrote to protect their asses, etc.), there would be plenty of “money” in Malfunction Junction for all of the “necessary and proper” functions of government.
And if you don’t know why “money” is in quotes, you don’t understand the intent of the Founders expressed at Art.1, Sect.10 and I’d urge you to get up to speed on it.
Example...why is anything except for one way tickets home for invaders in the US included in the budget?
