Article is right on. Most companies actively look for women software engineers to hire, but there are very few. Most in STEM want to major in Biology or even Psychology (yes, some consider Psychology a “science”).
I’m all for this. Make the tech companies live by the rules their politically and socially clueless, but rich, bosses force on the rest of us.
According to IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) only about 17.8% of the graduates in engineering are women. Then most of these leave the field to pursue raising a family.
Now, the cry is that companies should have 50% of their Sr. Management be women. Perhaps these people are not good at math, as I have the unfortunate curse of being a white male engineer. I have worked for women Engineers - some are great, some are worse than horrible; unfortunately, simply due to the unfair and unbalanced benefit given to women, there are more of the latter than the former.

They’re hunting for sexy witches?
Actually, women’s brains and men’s brains are different. Men seem more adapted to being engineers than women.
Both my parents were engineers, but my mom was a rarity.
Feminazis who claim women are the same as men ignore the fact that they are different. consider the fact that women also have a different physical design than men...
How many women know freakin Java? Seriously. There are like NONE. What are they whining about? Shut up and get to work.
Good article. Thanks for posting.
