Japan has no capability to project military force around the globe, so the lesson to be learned here is that a Japanese national has no business traveling to a Third World sh!t-hole where he/she has no recourse if they run into some kind of trouble.

That’s very true. Actually same should be said for those who have capability to project themselves - anyone traveling there should accept that it’s very high risk.

I wonder if half the problems with relationships the Japanese have is because they have no military that does anything. I wonder though, what it would be like of the Japanese were to be able to restructure their constitution to have a solid military that would respond to acts of terrorism.
