Personally & in this case, I prefer the word “character” to “personality” and infinitely more the word “charisma” regarding Churchill.

Wasn’t it John F. Kennedy who said that Winston Churchill was the man who “led his country in war, armed with NOTHING but the English language”?
I seem to recall that it was JFK. However, whether I’m right or wrong, that description of Churchill was absolutely wonderfully accurate.
When Winston started a famous speech, “We shall fight them on the beaches...”, those words were, in truth, virtually all England had.
