Republican leaders look for escape plan on immigration

Republican leaders in the House and Senate are boxed in on immigration and searching for a way out.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) are struggling to find a way to fund the Department of Homeland Security while meeting conservative demands to unwind President Obama’s executive actions giving legal status to millions of immigrants who would otherwise face deportation.

Congress is only scheduled to be in session for three weeks in February, giving lawmakers little time to craft a funding bill that would prevent an embarrassing shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Feb. 28. On Tuesday, the two began wiggling their way out of the tight spot:

• To please conservative critics, Boehner announced at a morning GOP conference meeting that the House would sue the administration for giving de facto legal status to millions of illegal immigrants without congressional approval.

• A day after pulling a House border security bill drafted by Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) from a planned floor vote, GOP leaders said McCaul and Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) would work together to create a new, tougher border bill.

Exactly.

Secure the border, make them get in line, screen them for disease,

and make sure the influx is slow enough to allow for

ASSIMILATION.

Of course, that’s a curse word for the left who
INTENTIONALLY WANT TO DILUTE OUR CULTURE.

"Republican leaders in the House and Senate are boxed in on immigration and searching for a way out."

This just shows how stupid, inept, and incompetent they are and how their concept of leadership is to hold a finger in the wind.

It’s simple, actually. Simply state there is nothing wrong with the laws implementing Congressional control over immigration according to the Constitution. Then force the lame scream mudia to correct their copy to use ‘illegal alien’ instead of ‘illegal immigrant’ to conform with the U.S. Code provision regarding immigration.

Many businesses have their houses built on sand. They survive on cheap illegal labor and without that, their business model will fail.

So making all these illegals, legal will not help them in the long run unless they can keep the borders open for a consistent cheap, weak labor force flooding the market.

For us the current illegals become citizens on welfare (most will because they are just here for money!) and the new flood of illegals over the open border will put us right back at square one only worse.

We are so screwed.
