Although it is tangential to the article about the apostate PC-USA, the comment that Liberation theology is the evil spawn of the Jesuits is fairly accurate. There wasn't a Marxist movement in Latin America that wasn't supported and aided by the Jesuits and friends. I grant you when you see a great disparity between the poor and crooks running the country - you want to help rectify the situation. But the net result is that they put man ahead of God, and that always leads to even greater misery.

That said - I agree this article is about the PC-USA which is a blight on Christianity. It would be better if they stopped pretending and just closed up shop and joined the Unitarians.

Perhaps because the original form of liberation theology, from Latin America, originated with Catholic theologians, and a lot of the early supporters were Jesuits.
