Obamacare program costs $50,000 in taxpayer money for every American who gets health insurance, says bombshell budget report
It will cost the federal government taxpayers, that is $50,000 for every person who gets health insurance under the Obamacare law, the Congressional Budget Office revealed on Monday.
The number comes from figures buried in a 15-page section of the nonpartisan organization's new ten-year budget outlook.
The best-case scenario described by the CBO would result in 'between 24 million and 27 million' fewer Americans being uninsured in 2025, compared to the year before the Affordable Care Act took effect.
Pulling that off will cost Uncle Sam about $1.35 trillion or $50,000 per head.

And I’m hearing this from The Daily Mail, not The Seattle Times.
I’m not surprised, since every billboard and commercial I’ve seen is pushing the subsidies. My town had a billboard completely in Spanish advertising that they could qualify for subsidies...
Who else is signing up for this nonsense? Who else can afford to?
The obamacare plans all cost the same as regular insurance if you just went out and bought it. Unless you qualify for a subsidy there is absolutely no reason to sign up through the government Obamacare. That’s why they are getting no one but people who are subsidized. Just another form of welfare.
And we haven’t even started laying the free ObamaCare BS on the 11.6 million illegal alien invaders yet. This is going to be fun!!! Show me da money!
We could buy each enrollee a Mercedes each year forever, and it would be cheaper.
Yes, but it would only be an entry-level Mercedes. Gauche!
Bump
Would fund ten boutique care plans for every one funded for Obamacare - quite a bargain.....
In one sense it’s not as bad as it sounds if that is 50k over 10 years. In another it is worse because it was supposed to have not only cost zero, but actually saved money due to increased efficiencies...and worse yet because it is a best case.
Yes, I suspected it was another freebie for many people. Welfare people already have MedicAid, but this will cover a lot of people who can’t qualify for that.
